What belongs here

md.miami hosts public practice information and provider accounts. Do not send symptoms, diagnoses, patient records or other medical information through this service. Contact a practice directly using its published contact links.

Account and public information

We store account email addresses, password hashes when a password is set, passkey public credentials, session and security records, and information submitted for a practice page. Public registry information is identified with its source. A public registry entry does not prove current professional licensure.

Where information comes from and why we use it

Directory information comes from public professional registries and information supplied by providers or their authorized staff. Source labels on individual pages identify the records used. We use these details to publish and update listings, help people find care, and review corrections and ownership claims. Public names, practice addresses, professional contact details, services and uploaded photographs can be seen by anyone, including search engines. Avoid publishing a personal address or phone number you do not want public.

Requests, access and security

When you request a correction or removal, we store the relevant listing, your email address, request reason and review decision. Claim reviews can include ownership evidence and reviewer notes. Authorized reviewers use these records to resolve requests and prevent unauthorized changes. Account actions generate security records, which can include an account or practice identifier, action details and a protected representation of an IP address. Network providers also process IP addresses and request information to deliver and protect the service.

Technical services

Cloudflare provides hosting, storage and request processing. Authentication email is delivered through Cloudflare Email Sending when email sign-in is available. Secure cookies keep you signed in. Appearance follows your device settings. Your device or password manager controls passkey storage; we receive a public credential, not your fingerprint, face scan or private passkey.

Translations and service providers

Practice text submitted for publication, such as biographies, service descriptions and frequently asked questions, may be processed by AI translation service providers to offer other site languages. Do not put confidential or patient information in these fields. Automated translations can be wrong; confirm important details with the practice. Hosting, email and translation providers process information for these service functions. Authorized practice staff can access the pages they manage, and authorized service administrators review operational and security records.

Maps and optional location

Browsing maps load automatically. OpenFreeMap and Esri receive your IP address and requests for the visible map area to supply map data. Their attribution links appear on the map. Using your precise location requires your browser permission. Coordinates stay on your device and are used to position the map and estimate straight-line distances; md.miami does not store them.

Saved practices on your device

If you save practices, we store their names and profile identifiers in your browser’s local storage, without requiring an account. This shortlist is not synchronized to your account or other devices. It stays in that browser until you remove saved practices, clear the shortlist or clear site data. If browser storage is unavailable, saved practices are temporary.

Anonymous activity

Claimed pages can count views and contact-button taps by day and a broad source such as search or Instagram. Activity events contain no visitor identifier, account information, IP address or full referring URL. Counts may be estimated. The browser collector respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control.

Optional informational usage

Collection is off until you allow it in Usage choices. Only home and for-providers visits are recorded as finite labels with a random browser credential. Medical interests, provider identities, search, account pages and page contents are excluded. Cloudflare processes these pseudonymous records. A Secure HttpOnly cookie lasts up to 30 days. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control prevent collection. You can turn collection off, export this browser's records and confirm their erasure. Withdrawal keeps export and erasure available; clearing cookies can prevent access to earlier records. These controls are separate from the anonymous provider-page counts described here.

Retention and removal

Account and practice records remain stored while maintained in the service. Removing a public page is not the same as deleting the account, request history or security records. The service does not currently provide automatic account erasure or a published fixed deletion period for those records. Expired sign-in codes and challenges are cleaned up separately; deleting a photograph schedules removal from our media storage. Publication updates and cleanup may take time. Copies previously saved by other people or search engines are outside our direct control.

Your choices

You can edit a page you manage, revoke staff access, sign out other sessions and request removal. Use the removal link on the relevant profile to report an unwanted or incorrect listing, or find the relevant profile in the directory. Sign in to your account to see requests associated with your verified email. These listing tools do not constitute a general account-data export or erasure process. Any privacy rights you have under applicable law remain in effect.

Calling, messaging, directions and booking links take you to the practice or another service. Their privacy terms apply there.
